Batman Arkham City
Arkham City was fantastic, I completely disagree with the criticism from some other posters. Navigating the map was one of the great pleasures of the game for me so getting from location to location was always enjoyable. Combat's fantastic, detail's great etc etc. Game of the year for me. Portal 2 is very good but not quite as funny as it thinks it is and not as challenging as it should be. Still a great game though, I just wished it went on a bit longer
Skyrim is also very good and certainly immersive but again not very challenging and I find I spend about 20% of my time playing it watching loading screens which rather pisses me off.FIFA 12 is obviously good but you know, it's the same game every year with a few changes. FIFA 12's probably the best of the series but I doubt it's seriously in contention for best game of the year.

his way through the Italian Renaissance and Ottoman-controlled
Constantinople. That story is over. Ever since the conclusion of
Assassin's Creed II, a senior team of Ubisoft developers has been
secretly toiling away on what comes next. That team aimed high, with
plans to examine and rethink every element of the franchise from the
ground up, build something new, and take a full three year development
cycle to do it. The game that emerged is Assassin's Creed III. The Darkness II
(Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB) The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that puts you in the role of Jackie Estacado, don of a NY crime family and wielder of an ancient supernatural force of chaos known as The Darkness.
The comic book style violence of The Darkness II doesn't merely shock, but delivers a sense of empowerment. Series protagonist Jackie Estacado rampages through his enemies, ripping them limb from limb in a bloody dance. The way he bounds through environments, tossing parking meters, car doors and more this way and that, utilizing it to flaunt his destructive abilities is almost artful.
The combat in The Darkness II is vastly superior to that of its
predecessor, but the story takes time to warm up. As an origin story,
the original game was immediately interesting, as we got to know Jackie
as he was introduced to the titular Darkness. In the new game, though,
Jackie controls the Darkness, much as he controls his mob family. He's
managed to keep his powers in check for some time following the events
of the first game, but an attack on his organization by unknown forces
brings out the monster inside. Now Jackie must confront not only the
creature he's become, but also the painful memories of losing Jenny, the
love of his life.
